Our Story
Our story began more than two decades ago, when Derek Grether discovered a passion for carpentry. Starting as a laborer in his uncle’s construction company, he learned the trade from the ground up—developing a strong foundation in rough framing before discovering his true calling in finish carpentry and fine woodworking.
In 2006, Derek founded Grether Fine Carpentry with a simple vision: to provide Southern Oregon homeowners with exceptional craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail, and beautifully crafted woodwork built to stand the test of time.
